This week's Top 2 Tuesday is Strange Addictions. Love it.
Have you seen the Strange Addictions show on TLC?? The show in-and-of itself is incredibly addicting... seriously. Could not stop watching last week, and eventually it sucked my husband and brother-in-law in too. Who would have thought that there are people out there that are addicted to eating toilet paper or sleeping with their hair dryer?!?!
So what are my strange addictions??
1) Sleeping with a fan. I didn't think this was strange... until I saw the episode about the girl that slept with her hair dryer on. However, sleeping with a fan is not hazardous to your health, and does not create third degree burns. I really just need to have some type of ambient noise. I'm not talking a ceiling fan... it has to be a fan that makes noise... right now it happens to be a huge old crappy box fan. I have been doing this since I was about 11 or 12... but I used to always set the fan up on a chair near the bottom corner of my bed... and then I would stick my feet out of the covers right in front of the fan. I quit this when I got to college, for fear that my new college roommates would think I was a weirdo.
2) Water on the bedside table. I must have a glass of water on my bedside table every night before I go to bed. It doesn't matter where I am. It doesn't even matter if I am thirsty. It just has to be there. Because... I mean, what if I wake up in the middle of the night completely thirst deprived?? It's good to know the water is there and available. I've been doing this one since I was 11 or 12 too. Apparently I developed all of my strange addictions during my adolescent years.
