Dear baby girl,
It's true what people say... "they grow up in the blink of an eye." I never really believed it before... I just thought it was what crazy parents said when they were missing the babyhood phase.
But I stand corrected.
It first hit me when I started boxing away your 18 month clothes. As I carefully folded your tiny little shirts and leggings I glanced over to see you sitting on the floor "reading" The Very Hungry Caterpillar (your current favorite book)... You didn't notice me studying you from a far... smiling to myself as you held out your hand counting the numbers... "one apple... ONE. two pears... TWO..." You really are growing up before my very eyes, sweet girl. And I can't even begin to describe how priviledged I feel to be a part of it all.
You are still the tiniest little thing. You did however, finally make it onto the height chart... just under 1%. But despite your tiny frame, you have the BIGGEST personality. Everyone says so. Your smile is absolutely contagious.
You've had your fair share of doctors appointments the past few months, but it's looking like we might finally be on the upswing. Which is a good thing, because you are not a fan of finger pricks and needles.
You love your new school... playing catch with daddy... holding your baby... singing "the-wet-it-go-song" (Let it Go from Frozen)... facetiming Mimi & Papa... going to Gigi & Hayhay's house... counting to 10... and dancing... man-oh-man, do you love some dancing.
Sweet girl, you have my heart. Wholly. Fully. I love you.
