Listening... to Zara's made-up songs. I will never tire of them... they are both endearing and hysterical all at the same time.
Reading... The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. Both of which I've been stuck on for quite a while now... at no fault of the books themselves... just my own ability to sit still and read for longer than 2 minutes at a time.
Coloring... everything. on jumbo coloring books... on grown-up coloring books (best idea/excuse for therapy ever)... on the iPad Pro... nothing is safe.
Eating... Talenti gelato. Favorite flavors to date are Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Mediterranean Mint.
Tackling... our debt head-on this year. Trying to think outside the box about how we can aggressively pay down both consumer debt and adoption debt in 2016.
Considering... a major creative endeavor. One that puts me completely out of my comfort zone and gets me super excited/nervous all at the same time.
Gearing... up for a busy few months of air bnb rentals. This is just our second year doing the whole air bnb thing, and the Spring definitely appears to be our "busy season."
Daydreaming... about Airstream trailers. Seriously... have you ever searched pinterest for "airstream trailer ideas"?!?! Total swoon-worthy stuff out there.
Learning... about Black History Month. Just ordered a kid-friendly board book on MLK Jr. that I am super excited about.
Enjoying... real-deal, legit conversations with my now-four-year-old. I pray that this is the start of many, many mother-daughter conversations.
Completing... a random assortment of home improvement projects. Some big, some small. All need to get FINISHED.
Anticipating... a visit from Mimi and Papa this weekend! A certain little girl wakes up every single morning asking if they are here yet... which is exactly why you should never give your 4-year-old exciting news more than 48 hours in advance.
Surviving... Zara's first dentist appointment AND her 4-year-old pediatric check-up... on.the.same.day. We knocked them both out last week and Zara was a champ.
Finding... a good rhythm. I feel like for the first time in a while, we have found a rhythm that works for us... for our family... for our marriage... for work... for home... I'm sure things will shake up again soon, but for now I'm doing my best to just enjoy it.
